Jacksonville to Scale
Purpose: Produce a model of downtown Jacksonville, FL to display how a proposed redevelopment would fit in the existing landscape.
Specs: Existing SketchUp files were used to print over 300 1:48 scale models of buildings in Jacksonville.
Project details: All of the buildings were built using a 3D printer to capture as much detail as possible at such a small scale. The buildings were painted according to a specific color scheme so proposed structures could easily be identified and distinguished from existing structures. Additionally, the proposed development was painted in different tones so each phase of the development could be visualized and understood.
